Privacy policy
This privacy policy explains what StackPicks, a software review website, collects about its visitors: very little, and nothing that identifies you personally. This site publishes reviews and guides; it has no user accounts, logins, or payment forms, so we have no reason to collect your name, email address, or payment details, and we do not.
What we log when you click an outbound link
When you click a link to a tool we review (these links begin with /go/), our redirect records a timestamp, the page the click came from, and the destination tool. This tells us which reviews readers find useful and supports our affiliate reporting. The log does not include your name, email address, or any account identity, because we never collect those. Once you land on the vendor's site, that company's own privacy policy applies, and the vendor may set its own cookies to attribute the referral.
Analytics and cookies
We may run standard web analytics to count page views and understand which pages get read. Where analytics are in place, the data we look at is aggregate: pages viewed, referrers, countries, and device types. We do not build individual visitor profiles, and we do not combine analytics data with click logs to identify anyone.
What we do not do with data
We do not sell data. We do not rent or share lists, and we do not pass click logs to anyone beyond the service providers needed to operate the site (for example, hosting infrastructure that processes traffic). If we ever add a newsletter or any other feature that collects an email address, we will update this policy before it launches.
